A pretty good deal

I met up with a few friends for lunch at Tuscany by H today.  I usually don't go to Lan Kwai Fong for lunch (or dinner for that matter), but I had long heard that the set lunch at Tuscany by H was a very good deal.  I wasn't disappointed.

The antipasti buffet selection was reasonably good, and I enjoyed some nice cold cuts.  Apparently the puff pastry with sausage was pretty good, but I wanted to save room for other stuff.  The tomato soup was OK, with a few chunks of garlic bread which made my day.

Home-made fettucine pasta, prawns, smoked bacon, vine-ripen cherry tomatoes and basil - I've always liked Harlan's pastas a lot, and this one was no exception.  The vine-ripened tomatoes were delish...and how can anyone not like pancetta affumicata?  The plate was empty in no time.

The dessert surprise was kinda like semifreddo garnished with berries.  Not spectacular, but pretty decent for a set lunch.

It was nice to be able to catch up with friends over a nice lunch in Central.  Not always easy, as everyone's pretty busy and restaurants are always crowded.
