Since I wasn't alone this time, I was happy that I could try a few more dishes.
Fried Isan sausages (ไส้กรอกอีสานทอด) - fermented with rice. Pretty tasty.
Yum tua puu goong sod (ยำถั่วพูกุ้งสด) - Hello Kitty loves winged beans, so she got this salad with prawns and boiled egg. The chili paste dressing seemed to also include peanut and lime juice.
Soup pla muek yud sai (ซุปปลาหมึกยัดไส้) - I was curious about these stuffed baby squids. The broth was pretty nice and sweet.
Loved these plump little guys with that ground pork inside. So cute and tasty.
Gaeng crab meat bai cha plu (แกงเผ็ดเนื้อปูใบชะพล) - spicy red
curry with crab meat from Surat Thani, crab roe, and wild betel leaves (ชะพลู). Pretty damn spicy even though it was also creamy and sweet.
Thai tea panna cotta - I loved this when I came here for the first time, so even though I was much too full, I wasn't gonna leave this place without gettin' some!
Just look at that JIGGLE! Oh and this was sooooo damn good! Even better than drinking cha yan (ชาเย็น)!
We were pretty stuffed, and walked back to the serviced apartment to wait for a special delivery from my friend. Thankfully the goodies arrived in the nick of time so that we could take them back to Hong Kong and share with friends.
